The elusive Moose is your muse!
Your Pictures Are Awesome! I Have Never Seen A Live Moose and These Are Fantastic Animals!! Thank You!
Love, love, LOVE!!
Question. Is his lower lip way bigger than the bottom row of teeth? Quite the set of chompers 😲
Now that is a great picture!!!! He’s laughing like Bullwinkle!
Love it, maybe the grass is bitter lol
He is cutie!
Looks like he's laughing!! 😂
Can’t help but smile back at him
Here is the second moose that was hidden in the previous photograph. This guy is wicked looking cool.
We need a good name for this guy?... ... See MoreSee Less
Let's vote by likes... How about Pocatello? Felicia Vaughn suggested this.
Looks like Khan is the winner! Submitted by Ava Harrison 👊
The most famous Shoshone was Sacajawea who acted as a guide for the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
How about BRUNO?
He’s a handsome dude.
This guy’s gorgeous.
Boss Man Or Big Daddy.
Mr. Bullwinkle, lol
Hmm, maybe a good ole Southern name...like... Beauregard. Or Buford. Or Rhett Butler.
Or simply, Khan.
How many moose do you see?... I had such a blast photographing Shoshone I didn't even notice.
What about the expression he's making? ... See MoreSee Less
Would love to see more! You take excellent photos that make these magnificent animals jump right out at you!
Shoshone looks happy and peaceful. Almost like you could approach him but I would not try.

Well, he is so beautiful is easy to disregard everything else 🙂 we been to Yellowstone many time, but never been lucky enough to see a bull Mouse 🙁
ONE BEAUTIFUL PICTURE. Can’t tell how many are hiding in the bushes.
Are there 3? One to the left and one to the right, behind him?
Has a buddy!
Looks like 4.
All the times I’ve been to Yellowstone, I’ve never seen a bull moose! #bucketlist
I change it, 2 !
I see two!
I see two and the one in behind his antlers are to the left of that bush and his rump is behind that big one with the horns
2 could be more in the bushes though,,lol

The moose is the largest member of the deer family. A full grown male moose is taller than a horse and can weigh over 1300 lbs. This is Shoshone and he's the most sought out moose in Grand Tetons National Park. ... See MoreSee Less
Amazing Picture!! Looks like he's Smiling at you. So Cool!!
When I enlarge it I see both upper and lower with his tongue between.. they have to have both in order to gnaw off reeds, grasses etc..
Seriously thinking about Rocky and Bullwinkle!!
I think also he’s smiling for the camera. We saw him on our last visit. Hope to see him again this year. Just look for a group of people together. Always stop they see something. The eagles nesting in trees by the dam is also a great place to see wildlife.
I’ve always thought moose are so unique
Beautiful moose but, the picture confuses me. It looks like there are two rows of teeth. Moose don't have upper front teeth and both rows of teeth seem to be below the tongue. Maybe that's an optical illusion?
Wow! He is handsome!
I love the expression on his face!
It looks like he smiled just for the camera. Gorgeous Boy.
Great picture thanks for sharing
MOOSE: I like my greens soft and fresh, thank you!
Nice one Packy!
This is a throwback to earlier this spring when I had the privilege of spending a wonderful evening with these amazing grizzly bears. ... See MoreSee Less

Nice capture! What a special time you got to share! Something you’ll never forget no doubt!
This is a beautiful picture! Thank you!
Thank you for asking me to be in your group
Stunningly beautiful photo!
I love seeing pictures of these beautiful bears!
The Great Blue Heron is the largest and most widespread heron in North America. It is a large bird, with a slate-gray body, chestnut and black accents, and very long legs and neck. Great Blue Herons are very tall and stand 3 to 4.5 feet high. In flight, the bird looks huge, with a six-foot wingspan. ... See MoreSee Less
AMAZING Photo!! Should be in a Bird Calendar somewhere!! 🙂 We have a Big Blue Heron that visits our pond quite often. Never can catch it with a camera tho. One of these days...
I lived above a creek also. Yearly one would land and in 24 hours would leave but those hours we very enjoyable. Magnificent as is your photograph
Its a Beautiful Bird.♥️ You shoot Amazing pixs.. Thanks for sharing as well as, the info.♥️
What a beautiful shot. When I see them, the moment is almost angelic. They have landed in front of me and looked me in the eye during times of great loss.
I've lived above a creek over 20 years and have been gifted seeing a couple of these from my deck ... amazing creatures ... and beautiful ...
Great pic. They are gorgeous birds.
It has been my experience that they are very leery of people. One would have to have a high power lens to get a photo like this.
Ez egy halász madar. Egy szép gém szép fotó gratulálok. Nagyon nehéz meg közelíteni szep.
And in California they eat pocket gophers, among other things!! Who knew!!

As I was walk around the Grand Tetons I always run into this flower. Can you name it?
I uploaded this photo in High Rez so you guys can download it if you want. ... See MoreSee Less
Must be related to a Texas bluebonnet same leaves and flower petals- just a different color
Looks like lupine. They grow all throughout the Mountain West.
A Lupine. There are many different sizes, colors and shades of lupine from Texas, Kansas and all over. Beautiful
Actually looks like Lavendar! Even the stems ...
There are many species of lupine in the Tetons and Rocky Mountain region. Silvery lupine (Lupinus argenteus) is one of the most common in Grand Teton NP. Others include bigleaf lupine, Great Basin lupine, lodgepole lupine, and silky lupine.
it's one species of lupine growing there. Species depends on the habitat where you found it.
I'm going with Lupine.
Lupinus plattensis, I think.
